About the Role
As a Policy & Compliance Advisor at Andrews Blake, you’ll work closely with our clients to help them navigate the evolving landscape of UK environmental regulation and sustainability policy. Your role will focus on interpreting legislative requirements, identifying compliance gaps, and supporting the development of clear, actionable internal policies that reduce environmental risk and ensure best practice.
You’ll contribute to planning support, regulatory audits, and internal policy creation, providing insight and guidance to clients in sectors such as infrastructure, real estate, logistics, and professional services. This role requires a strong understanding of environmental legislation, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex regulatory information with clarity and confidence.
Requirements
Advise clients on relevant UK environmental legislation, planning requirements, and compliance frameworks
Conduct policy reviews and regulatory gap analyses to assess organisational readiness
Support the development of internal policies, processes, and sustainability documentation
Provide input into planning applications, impact assessments, and environmental statements
Monitor upcoming legislative and regulatory changes, ensuring clients remain informed and compliant
Liaise with legal teams, consultants, and government bodies where necessary
Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and compliance-related training sessions
Assist clients in meeting audit and reporting requirements, including documentation reviews and evidence preparation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed compliance into wider sustainability strategies
